SUMMARY:Dream Tale Puppets Presents “Alice\, or the Red King’s Dream” in Woods Hole
DESCRIPTION:Dream Tale Puppets will present “Alice\, or the Red King’s Dream”\, fantastically nonsensical adventures of a little girl inspired by Lewis Carroll’s writings\, for children 5 years old and up and their families. The door will open at 4:05 p.m. Admission is $12 at the door (cash only). The show runs about 60 minutes. \nStep into a world of fantasy\, make-believe\, and play\, and join little Alice in search of her lost kitten. Follow her as she falls down the rabbit hole and enters a curious land of puzzles\, talking flowers\, and a jumble of characters from Lewis Carroll’s stories. Each of Alice’s encounters—some silly\, some strange\, and some a little spooky—challenges her sense of reality and her sense of self. Will Alice find her kitten? Will anyone lend a hand? And how do you navigate a place where logic takes a nap? Join Alice on her topsy-turvy adventure and see where the dream leads! \nThe performance features a variety of puppet types\, including tabletop\, figure\, glove\, and rod puppets. The sets and most of the puppets were created by Jacek Zuzanski\, who will be joined on stage by Margaret Moody and Sarah Kahn. \nFollowing “Alice\, or the Red King’s Dream\,” the series wraps up with a performance of “Badger Meets the Fairies” by Margaret Moody Puppets on Friday\, July 24\, at 4:30 p.m.\, at the Old Fire Station in Woods Hole. \nDream Tale Puppets\, founded in 2003 and led by Jacek Zuzanski\, is a touring ensemble of artists living on Cape Cod and beyond. The theatre offers original puppetry performances for children and families\, workshops and classes\, and occasionally presents other puppetry theatres. \nThis program is sponsored by the Woods Hole Community Association and supported by a grant from the Woods Hole Foundation.

SUMMARY:A Grilled Cheese Social
DESCRIPTION:A grilled cheese may seem like a simple meal! Butter on the griddle\, two pieces of bread and some cheese. It is certainly a delicious choice\, but that can get boring after a while! Many have found their own special remedy for the “normal” grilled cheese…but bringing it up in conversation can bring out the fire in the eye. Some folks don’t use butter at all! Why not some mayonnaise! I hear it gives an extra crunch. Or maybe an obscure mustard\, bacon\, or even bananas. It’s sort of like your parent’s meatloaf. That meatloaf is the only meatloaf you’ll eat! \nAt the Falmouth Public Library – Main Branch on Saturday\, February 28\, 2026 at 12:00 PM we will be making the grilled cheese sandwiches on flattop burners. We will be providing a variety of bread and cheeses. Don’t forget to bring your secret ingredient(s) and share it with your friends and other library patrons! \nThe event is appropriate for patrons ages 11+ unless accompanied by an adult. There will be library staff enjoying and overseeing the event. Adults and parents are more than welcome to join in on the fun! We will be having games and activities all about the Hermann Room while we cook up our glorious melted cheese and bread. The games may be a little “cheesy” (without the mess). The event is from 12:00 PM – 1:30 PM. We hope to see you there! \nSigning up is very much appreciated. You can access the registration page HERE on our Falmouth Public Library events page or give us a call at 508-457-2555 x 7. Please reach out if you have any questions or problems with registering!
