Welcome to ArtsFalmouth!
ArtsFalmouth celebrates, sponsors, and promotes arts and culture in and around Falmouth. The mission of ArtsFalmouth is to promote the arts, culture, and creative economy of Falmouth; to facilitate collaboration among visual, performing, and literary artists and arts organizations in Falmouth and across the Upper Cape and to encourage community engagement in the arts.
ArtsFalmouth holds three major events each year: the Woods Hole Trad Stroll, Arts Alive, and the Jazz Stroll, as well as an annual meeting.
Woods Hole Trad Stroll 2024 will be held Saturday, May 4, 2024, in Woods Hole Community Hall and other locations in the village of Woods Hole.
Arts Alive 2024 will be held Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, June 14 to 16, on the Falmouth Library Lawn and adjacent Peg Noonan Park and Shore Street Extended, celebrating the performing, visual, and literary arts, as well as Juneteenth, Father’s Day, and Pride Month.
Jazz Stroll 2024 will be held Saturday, October 5 in the late afternoon/evening in various shops, galleries, and community spaces along Main Street and Queen’s Buyway.

Arts Alive 2024
ArtsFalmouth will hold Arts Alive 2024 the weekend of June 14, 15, and 16 on the Falmouth Library Lawn. We will be celebrating the performing, visual, and literary arts, Juneteenth, Father’s Day, Pride Month, and Native American culture. All events are free and open to the public. Please join us!
We’ve lined up 40 performances by a wide variety of musicians, dancers, and actors, who will be performing on the Falmouth Library Lawn and in Peg Noonan Park, and gathered 76 artisan vendors, who will be selling their wares on Shore Street Ext and Peg Noonan Park. In addition about a dozen nonprofit organization will offer information on the Falmouth Library Lawn, and there will be an Art Tent with fun activities for all ages. And food vendors!
ArtsFalmouth, Inc., has invited community organizations to set up a tent on the Falmouth Library Lawn to disperse information related to the arts and/or the Falmouth community. Participating Community Organization as listed here.
We need Volunteers to help on the weekend of Arts Alive! Tasks vary, but include helping vendors find their locations and help with setup and breakdown, as needed, sharing your talents with others by demonstrating your art or music skills or leading a participatory art or music activity, storytelling/story reading, helping to staff the ArtsFalmouth, Inc., information booth, photography and videotaping. If you can spare some time at the festival to help out, please fill out this form or contact us at info@artsfalmouth.org for more information about volunteering.

5 PM: Falmouth Academy Student Ensembles Performances by Falmouth Academy’s music program students: chorus, jazz band, rock band, and instrumental ensembles.
6 PM: Shannon Davis
Award-winning singer/songwriter Shannon Davis is known for her songs containing strong imagery coupled with haunting vocal melodies.
7 to 9 PM: Town Dance with Puffy Elvis
Puffy Elvis is a big, old-time rock ‘n’ roll band made up of teachers, retired teachers, and some people who know teachers. Young in spirit and high in energy, the band plays classic rock hits and a few new tunes to encourage attendees to dance the night away!
Saturday, June 15, 2024: Performance Tent, Falmouth Library Lawn
Thanks to the Falmouth Art Center, there will be Artists on the Lawn Saturday morning painting a live model. Feel free to watch them create and/or to bring your art materials and join in!
9:45 to 11 AM: Juneteenth Celebration
Saturday begins with a commemoration of Juneteenth, the date in 1865, when the last group of enslaved people in Galveston Bay, Texas were declared free by the U.S. Army, two years after Lincoln issued the Emancipation Proclamation. Paul Glass will emcee the event, which begins at 9:45 AM with drumming by Lisa Esperson to draw attendees to the Performance Tent. At 10 AM, Ashlei Weathers will offer a Libation, a ceremonial African tradition honoring the spirits of ancestors. Henry St. Julian will discuss the historical context of Juneteenth, and Representative David Vieira will read the Emancipation Proclamation as Major General Gordon Granger of the Union Army. The Juneteenth Celebration Chorus, Lawrence School students led by Eileen Cahill, will sing “Lift Every Voice.” Falmouth Public School student poetry and art will be featured.
11:15 AM to 12:15 PM: Tish Adams Trio
Jazz vocalist Tish Adams and will continue the spirit of Juneteenth with a vibrant selection of songs: elegant Torch Songs, high-energy Swing, rip-roarin’ Blues.
12:30 to 1:30 PM: Turning Point Dance Studio Students of all ages from the Turning Pointe Dance Studio, led by Laura Sciortino and celebrating their 20th year, will perform a selection of contemporary and classical dances.
1:45 to 2:45 PM: Joe Mongelli & the Cape Jazz Crew
Joe Mongelli and the Cape Jazz Crew Presents the Genius of Horace Silver, perhaps the most influential jazz composer and pianist and of the late 1950s and early 1960s. The Cape Jazz Crew is Joe Mongelli, trumpet; Scott Avidon, saxophone; Matt Hutchison, piano; Michael Dunford, drums; and Michael Ryle, upright bass.
3 to 4 PM: L’Esperance Mandolin Ensemble
Led by Josh Bell, L’Esperance Mandolins Ensemble is a group of 20 musicians, playing various types of mandolins, percussion, and guitar. Their repertoire includes classical, folk, and jazz music. the group has performed for audiences from New York to Rhode Island to Vermont for over 30 years.
4:15 to 5:15 PM: Cranberry Jam
Cranberry Jam is a 19-piece contemporary big band with vocalists performing big band instrumental and vocal favorites, along with contemporary arrangements of Grammy Award-winning songs through 2024.
5:30 to 6:30 PM: Greenlanders The Greenlanders are a retro ’60s/’70s folk quintet performing songs from folk revival artists such as the Kingston Trio, Peter, Paul, and Mary, Bob Dylan, Donovan, John Denver, and the Eagles. The group has been together for almost 60 years.
6:45 to 7:45 PM: The Paradise Rock Band
Founded in 1982, The Paradise Rock Band is led by lead singer Craigo Carlson, with Alex Lane on drums, Malcom Child on bass, Dickie Nolan and Eric Hayden on keyboards, and Noah Germolus on saxophone.
8 to 9 PM: 12-Step Boogie: Rocking in Recovery
12-Step Boogie brings a varied mix of music to the table, with a strong influences in R&B, blues, and rock. They play tunes by Tom Petty, Mud Crutch, Steve Earle, Warren Zevon, Joe Walsh, J.J. Cale, Johnny Cash, Neil Young, Bruce Springsteen, David Bowie, and many many more. The band was formed in 2015 by Gregory Fones, Kevin St. Pierre, and Wayne Morea. Each bring years of experience, not just musically, but also as seasoned veterans of drugs and alcohol use during their early years as musicians. Addiction eventually took control and robbed them of their dreams and almost their lives. Now through sobriety and unity they’ve joined together to revive their dreams and their music. From 12 bars to 12 steps—12-Step Boogie!

10 to 11 AM: Allsorts: A Cup of Compassion with Morgaihne Huntress
Local performing artist explores compassion in her new pocket play, which explores compassion through poetry, prose, and song.
11 AM to Noon: Cape Symphony Flute Quintet Classical and popular music on piccolo, concert flute, alto flute, and bass flute
Noon to 1 PM: Falmouth Theatre Guild: A Cabaret of Show Tunes Members of the Falmouth Theater Guild will perform a variety of show tunes.
1 to 2 PM: The Harper and the Minstrel Jay and Abby Michaels are a husband-and-wife musical duo, the Harper and the Minstrel, who play medieval, Renaissance, and Celtic music on at least a dozen instruments. Jay plays several different harps, viola da gamba, rebec, dulcimer, and Baroque and classical guitars. Abbysings and plays flutes, recorders, pennywhistles, bowed psaltery, guitar, harp, and hammered dulcimer.
2 to 3 PM: Julian Loida: Music is a Visual Art
Percussionist and composer Julian Loida uses his synesthesia (a blending of the senses) as inspiration for his creative process. He regularly collaborates with dancers and partners with visual artists, songwriters/composers, and other musicians.
3 to 4 PM: The ZYG 808
The ZYG 808 is a Grammy-nominated musician, composer, producer, vocalist, DJ, and recording artist of Indie Groove, Alternative Pop, Rare Groove/Funk, Afrobeats, and Hip-Hop. He is a leading figure in the Thump & Soul music movement.
4 to 5 PM: Ubeyou Jeff Brown leads a three-person band on guitar, bass, and drums, playing Americana and rock ‘n’ roll, mostly originals.
5 to 6 PM: 82nd Street Band

The 82nd Street Band interprets lesser-known songs by Bruce Springsteen and plays other tunes in his style including songs by Tom Petty, Southside Johnny, The Rolling Stones, and originals. The mix of acoustic and electric guitars with bass, percussion, harmonica, and violin produces a blend of folk, rock, blues, and soul music.
6:30 to 7:30 PM: Cognitive Dissonance Cognitive Dissonance is a Jazz Quintet, based on Cape Cod, which specializes in Afro-Cuban and Mainstream Jazz. The band consists of Olivia Yingling – vocals, Bill McManus – alto sax, Greg Polanik – electric guitar, Sam Holmstock – percussion, and Glenway Fripp – electric bass.
8 to 9 PM: Wamptronica
WAMPTRONICA is an underground dance music group, specializing in House Music, Afrobeat and Rare Groove; raising the vibrations and bring the good vibes with grooves from the first light.

11 AM to 12 Noon: Falmouth Chamber Players
The Falmouth Chamber Players will perform several chamber music selections by groups of woodwind players: Wind Octets by Beethoven and Mozart (Beethoven Octet Op 103, Mozart Serenade No. 12 in C minor); Flute Trios; and Trios for flute, clarinet, and bassoon.

1 to 2 PM: North River Brass Quintet
The North River Brass Quintet is a chamber group of brass musicians from the Southeastern Philharmonic Orchestra and feature orchestral and contemporary styles of music from all genres. They have been featured in many venues and are delighted to share their music with the community for all to enjoy.
2 to 3 PM: Kim Moberg Band
Kim Moberg, Julian Loida, Heather Swanson, and Brian Miller will perform Kim’s original work, Seven Fires Prophecy: Suite for Humanity, a 9 song suite that ties the ancient Anishinaabe legend to our current social environment as a way of sharing indigenous teachings and life lessons.
3 to 4 PM: College Light Opera Company (CLOC)
Twenty-eight members of the CLOC 2024 vocal company present selections from the upcoming season and a celebration of Juneteenth,
4 to 5 PM: Kerosene Heater Band Rocking country music

Neil Ganju, acoustic guitar, performs with special guests acoustic guitarist Wayne Baldwin and vocalist Bela Ganju. They perform hit songs from the 1950s to 2020s.
3 to 4 PM: Low Pressure Band Four musicians performing covers and originals
4 to 5 PM: Wayside Sound
Wayside Sound is an Americana band based in Falmouth and Boston. Composed of local musician and music educator Taylor Gonsalves and Jack Dudek of Boston, the band reimagines roots music, offering poignant storytelling, thoughtful guitar solos, and contagious passion, balancing traditional and modern sound, the vigor and depth of their performances is both memorable, refreshing, and captivating.

2 PM: Tea Dance with DJ Kris Kay
DJ Kris Kay will be performing a traditional Tea Dance on the bandstand in Peg Noonan Park. All are invited to dance! Tea Dances originated in New York in the 1950s and ‘60s, when it was illegal for bars in New York to sell alcohol to people known to be gay. Tea Dances on Sunday afternoons became a legally acceptable way of socializing.
