ArtsFalmouth, Inc. welcomes nonprofit and similar community organizations to set up tents on the Falmouth Library Lawn during Arts Alive to provide information about their activities. Organizations will be there from 10 AM to 5 PM on Saturday, June 14, and from 11 AM to 5 PM on Sunday, June 15. We encourage you to stop by and learn more about some of the many great community organizations that contribute to the vitality of Falmouth and the Upper Cape.
College Light Opera Company (CLOC) (Saturday and Sunday)
A non-profit theatre organization, CLOC has, for 50 years, provided hundreds of college-age students from around the country with a unique educational opportunity to learn from leading professionals and practice their craft in a challenging but supportive environment.
Each summer, CLOC invites 75 of the nation’s most promising theatre artists to be in residence in Falmouth for 11 intense weeks of production. These students become members in the Vocal Company, Orchestra, Design and Production Team, Music Staff, and Business Staff. The result is 9 fully produced musicals and operettas performed at the Highfield Theatre. These productions are considered to be nine of the best theatre productions on Cape Cod each year.
CLOC will be performing in the Performance Tent on Sunday, June 15, from 2:35 to 3:45 PM.
Colum Cille Pipes and Drums (Saturday only)
The mission of Colum Cille Pipes and Drums is to share Highland band culture by providing free weekly lessons and performing all around New England at a wide variety of events such as parades, concerts, festivals, and Highland Game competitions. Their repertoire includes a vast array of Scottish, Irish and patriotic American tunes. Colum Cille is a teaching band and offers free instruction to anyone interested in joining the band. They will have flyers with band lesson/practice dates.
Falmouth Chorale (Saturday only)
The mission of the Falmouth Chorale is to engage with audiences by sharing its passion for musical excellence and the joy of singing, bringing great choral music to the Upper Cape community. The Chorale will have copies of its seasonal brochure.
Falmouth Community Veterans Center (Saturday only)
The Veterans Center provides services and programs for veterans and military families. They will have brochures for Guitars4Vets and Guitars4Kids
Falmouth Cultural Council (Saturday and Sunday)
The Falmouth Cultural Council is the local agency of the Mass Cultural Council. With funds from the Town of Falmouth, the Mass Cultural Council, and the Falmouth Artisan Market, the Falmouth Cultural Council supports an array of arts, humanities, and interpretive science projects that benefit the community. The FCC will solicit feedback from community members through its community survey, which will be used to determine the Falmouth Cultural Council’s funding and programming priorities for FY26.
Falmouth Genealogical Society (Saturday and Sunday)
The Society is a nonprofit organization of beginner, amateur, and professional family historians and genealogists dedicated to studying, preserving and sharing family histories. ​Established in 1985, FGS promotes genealogical research among members, the Barnstable County community, and anyone interested in family history. Volunteers at the Arts Alive booth will inform people about its free services and capabilities, do online ancestor look ups in various censuses and family trees for persons interested in exploring their family history.
Falmouth Gun Safety Coalition (Sunday Only)
The Falmouth Gun Safety Coalition promotes gun safety and safe storage of firearms. They will give away free gun locks, gun safety information, business cards, free pens, and pamphlets.
Foster MA-DCF (Saturday and Sunday)
Foster MA-DCF is seeking foster/adoptive homes for children. They will have on hand free material, swag, and coloring sheets for children.
League of Women Voters of Falmouth (Saturday only)
The League of Women Voters of Falmouth is a nonpartisan political organization encouraging informed and active participation in government. They will provide voter registration forms and membership information.
MA Department of Children and Families (Saturday and Sunday)
The MA Department of Children and Families seeks to raise awareness of the great need for foster parents on the Cape. They will provide pamphlets and simple free gifts, such as pens, magnets, pencils, and phone holders.
Solstice Singers
The Solstice Singers offer community enrichment through performance of music, dance and drama in the style of the Renaissance.
