Dr. Rosie Helps the Animals is the story of a young girl who chases her dreams and becomes a veterinarian–an imaginative and playfully illustrated STEM children’s picture book with an empowering message. The book was authored by Jennifer Welborn and illustrated by Rozilia MH.
This program will feature an interactive reading with Jennifer and Rozillia and a hands on opportunity to learn about veterinary treatments. Children should bring their own stuffed animal.
Praise for Dr. Rosie Helps the Animals:
This is a very special book that will contribute to stimulating bright minds and excitement in children, particularly from underrepresented backgrounds… ” —Dr. Ruby Perry, DVM, MS, Ph.D., DACVR, Dean, Tuskegee University College of Veterinary Medicine
“In the inspiring picture book Dr. Rosie Helps the Animals, a veterinarian’s daughter dreams about treating animals in need herself.”–Foreward Clarion Reviews (starred review)
