Jazztober 2019

Jazztober October 19 and 20, 2019

October means jazz in Falmouth: a Jazz Stroll on Saturday, October 19, and a Jazz Brunch on Sunday, October 20. Sponsored by ArtsFalmouth and the Falmouth Village Association, the two events feature local and regional jazz musicians playing an eclectic array of jazz, blues, and contemporary music from American Standards to progressive jazz, and original compositions.

The Jazz Stroll takes place from 5 PM to 8:30 PM on Saturday, October 20 in shops, restaurants and public buildings along Queen’s BuyWay and Main Street. Each performance is an hour and 15 minutes, with starting times staggered so that attendees can attend one performance after another.

All Jazz Stroll events are free and open to the public. Shops and restaurants will be open for business during the stroll. It’s a great opportunity to check out recent renovations at a number of the venues, to admire the scarecrows that decorate Main Street and shop a sidewalk sale or two.

On Sunday, October 20, from noon to 2 PM, jazz ensembles will entertain during Sunday Jazz Brunch at two restaurants in town: The British Beer Company and The Pickle Jar.
