Dave Zinno Trio at Highfield Hall & Gardens

Highfield Hall & Gardens presents a special afternoon of world-class jazz featuring the Dave Zinno Trio on March 30 from 4 to 6 PM.

Presented in collaboration with Falmouth Jazz, this concert will feature the renowned bassist Dave Zinno, who will be joined by George Garzone on saxophone and Rafael Barata on drums.

Dave Zinno’s unparalleled command of the bass is evident in his performances, compositions, and recordings with some of the biggest names in jazz, including Grammy-winning vocalist Dianne Schuur, jazz legends Julian Priester and Hadley Caliman, and famed drummer Jimmy Cobb, to name just a few. Zinno’s extensive career, which has spanned decades of performing across the globe, brings a unique blend of technical prowess and melodic brilliance to the stage.

Joining Zinno is George Garzone, a saxophonist who has performed alongside jazz greats such as Joe Lovano, Jack DeJohnette, John Patitucci, and Chick Corea. Garzone’s deep knowledge of jazz and his mastery of the saxophone make him a formidable presence in the trio.

Rounding out the trio is the celebrated Brazilian percussionist Rafael Barata, whose Grammy Award-winning contributions have made him one of the most sought-after drummers in jazz. Barata has collaborated with internationally renowned artists including Eliane Elias, Kenny Barron, Esperanza Spalding, and Herbie Hancock, among others, blending the rhythms of Brazil with the innovative sounds of jazz.

This concert offers a rare opportunity to experience jazz at its highest level set in the intimate and picturesque surroundings of Highfield Hall.
