Galapagos Travel Talk
March 29 @ 3:00 pm

The Woods Hole Public Library will host a travel talk on the Galápagos Islands on Saturday, March 29, at 3 PM.
Laurie Raymond, Library Board member, intrepid sailor, and avid bicyclist (just to name a few of her many talents) traveled to the Galápagos Islands in November 2024. She traveled with a group from Road Scholar, and had many opportunities to snorkel and explore ashore. Laurie says she was “attracted primarily by the vast and often unique/endemic flora and fauna but also by the crucial role the animals of the islands played in the development of Darwin’s evolutionary theory. And heck, who wouldn’t want to go there?!”
For her talk at the Library, Laurie will share photos of the breathtaking scenery and natural wonders on land, on the water, and under the sea that she encountered on this trip of a lifetime.
