ArtsFalmouth’s Jazz Stroll ’22 will be held Saturday, October 15, 2022, from 6 to 8:30 PM along Main Street and Palmer Ave in downtown Falmouth. All performances are an hour long and are free and open to the public. Refreshments will be provided!
Come out and enjoy a delightful fall evening of jazz from local favorites. This Jazz Stroll, the first live Stroll since 2019, is not to be missed!
The event begins at 6 PM at Rinaldo and Cross’s The Gallery on Main, 317 Main Street, with The Rich Hill Trio, with Rich Hill on bass guitar, Andy Troyanos on guitar, and Chris Santos on drums. The band plays Latin Jazz Fusion from Charlie Parker to Chick Corea and beyond.

Jazz ’til Dawn performs at the Jim Fox’s Main Street Gallery, 189 Main Street, from 6:30 to 7:30 PM. The group features Alan Clinger on jazz guitar, backed by Charlie Taormina on trumpet, Doug Ricciardi on bass, and Zac Casher on drums.
Alan Clinger performs as a soloist and in groups that range in size from a duo to a 16-piece stage band here on the Cape and in New York and California. He specializes in what is referred to as “mainstream jazz,” which is jazz based on American Standards including songs from Ragtime and Dixieland to Swing, Bebop and beyond, music that audiences appreciate and enjoy.
Charlie Taormina has played trumpet since he was 9, achieving a mellow style accessible to all listeners and was a bass player in the Cape Conservatory Jazz Band for 15 years. He opened for national acts, including Tavares, Maynard Ferguson, Jay Leno, Joe Pesci. He plays lead trumpet and is a featured soloist with the UMass Dartmouth stage band.
Doug Ricciardi, on bass, evolved from rock and R&B as young player, and is now a jazz devotee.
Drummer Zac Casher has played professionally for 40+ years. He has written, recorded and toured with Mighty Sam McLain, Johnny Adams, Michelle Willson, and the Julien Kasper Band, just to name a few. Casher has taught at the Berklee College of Music and has enjoyed freelancing with all sorts of artists, getting to play all genres of music.

The Bill Taylor Trio featuring Joe Delaney performs at Museums on the Green, 55 Palmer Avenue, from 7 to 8 PM. Saxophonist Bill Taylor leads the trio with mellow jazz improvisations.
Bill Taylor describes pianist Joe Delaney as “the most talented and accomplished pianist I’ve ever been lucky enough to share a bandstand with.
Chris Bean is a versatile jazz drummer who is at home performing in small ensembles, big bands, and musical theater pits.
Bill Taylor credits his parents for his musical background. His father is a jazz drummer and his mother is a classical pianist.

The Andrew Sexton Trio performs from 7:30 to 8:30 PM at the Fisherman’s Pantry, 95 Palmer Ave. Singer/guitarist Andrew Sexton is backed by saxophone and bass and sings American Standards and his own originals.
Andrew Sexton will be accompanied by Alec Zeuli on saxes and flute and Mike Machaby on upright bass.
